Wish You Were Here: The Chicopee Public Library Postcard Collection Exhibit

The Chicopee Public Library Postcard Collection Exhibit is a series of photographs showing the postcard exhibit as it is displayed at the Chicopee Public Library. The postcard collection is a small collection of donated postcards ranging in date from 1900-1950. Topics include the City of Chicopee, Massachusetts, Westover Air Force Base and some of the surrounding towns and cities. A selection of the postcards are from other regions of the United States and are addressed to residents of the city of Chicopee. The display takes up three display cases and are divided into sections based on location and recipient. Two of the cases contain postcards and facsimiles of postcards related to Chicopee. One case displays the cards and the correspondence side by side. These cards are from locations outside Chicopee and were sent to one family who lived in Chicopee in the 1930s and 1940s.
