Tuesday Arts Night

Pioneer Valley Concert Band Tuesday, July 21st @ 6:30pm
The Pioneer Valley Concert Band will be at the library to perform a concert outside in the amphitheater. The concert will be inside if it rains.

Susan Pecora Tuesday, July 28st @ 6:00-8:00pm
Susan Pecora, a local artist, will be at the
library to demonstrate how to paint in
watercolors and will be painting a picture of the library for us to display.

Sister Mary Joseph, “Poet with a Brush” Tuesday, August 18st @ 7:00pm
Sister Mary Joseph, a local poet and illustrator, will be reading her original poetry and displaying illustrations from her latest book


Thursday Night Concerts

Come and relax on Thursday nights in July and August and enjoy our concert series. New this year will be a booksale to take place each Thursday night prior to the concert. Concerts start at 6:30, booksale starts at 6:00pm.

July 9th: Empire featuring Kris Keyes, Rock Music
July 16th: The Kennedys, Folk Music
July 23rd: Marcille Wallis, Irish Dulcimer
July 30th: Peter Biedermann, Classical Guitar
August 13th: Goat Ropers, Classic Rock
August 20th: RKade w/ Dick Melikian, Jazz

Concerts are held rain or shine. If it is nice outside will be in the amphitheater, if the weather is poor we will be inside in the Community Room.


Friday Afternoon Movies

Three Friday afternoons during the Summer the Chicopee Public Library will be playing a movie and serving popcorn.

July 17th: He's Just Not That Into You
The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior. (Rated PG-13)

July 31st: Paul Blart Mall Cop
When a shopping mall is overtaken by a gang of organized crooks, it's up to the a mild-mannered security guard to save the day. (Rated PG)

August 7th: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences. (Rated PG)
