Summer Reading

Teen Summer Reading has started! Getting involved is easy!

1. Sign up in the Children's Room
2. Pick up the books you need for school, and maybe some you want for fun.
3. READ
4. Check in every time you read for four hours. Erase your library fines and enter to win fabulous prizes!

Learn to Program with Scratch

Scratch lets you create art, games, stories, music and more and share your creations online. It's easy to get started and leaves a lot of room to learn to do more complex things.
Join us in the computer lab on: Monday July 26 3:30-4:30, Tuesday August 3 3:30-4:30 or Thursday August 19 3:00-4:00 Limit 10 people, first come, first served

August Video Game Parties!

Play RockBand, Wii Sports or Dance Dance Revolution in the cool of our air-conditioned community room. Snacks will be served. Monday August 9 3-5pm and Monday August 23 3-5pm

Teen Advisory Board (Ages 13-17)

Now recruiting new members! What do you want to do at the library? Let's Make it happen. We will have a meeting in September, watch this space, or check our calendar for updates. Members of the Teen Advisory Board at the Chicopee Public Library will:

• give advice and feedback to improve services for young adults in the library
• help plan library programs
• suggest materials to buy for the young adult collection
• get community service credit for the work they do in the library (and it looks good on college applications!) have fun!
