Description
Russell "Russ" H. Gilbert was born in Greene, Maine in 1867. Nearly all of his professional life was in newspaper work, first in Wareham MA, before settling in Chicopee and working as a photographer for the Springfield Union News. He married Bernice A Hovey in 1918. Gilbert was a proponent of the "New Thought" movement, and frequently lectured on the subject. He died in 1923 following a short illness.
