<dcterms:description><![CDATA[A letter written in pencil on thin paper with a United States Navy letterhead. Dated December 15, 1944, the letter is from Francis to "everyone," and is two pages single-sided. Francis discusses a test he's just taken for an advancement in rating that he's confident about; another letter he wrote to a Helen Mistuika (the spelling of the last name is difficult to read); and a letter he received from Elaine in Springfield in which "she misses me quite a bit from what she writes. So don't they all, I don't know why." He asks after an Eddie who was supposed to visit his family, and then concludes the letter. There is no envelope with this letter, and the pencil is fairly light, making it difficult to read. ]]></dcterms:description>
