A typed letter from Paul T. Silance in his role as USS Witter Secretary, to Charles "Bud" Goodwin, Chairman of the DESA Roll of Honor Committee. Dated February 10, 1993, the letter references a notice printed in the January/February issue of DESA Newsletter, and goes on to list the names and ranks of the six men killed aboard the Witter when it was attacked in 1945.Silance notes that the bodies were taken off the ship at Okinawa for burial.
