Born in Fairfield, Vt.___Son of Thomas O&#039;Regan,___by occupation a Weaver,___Married,___at the age of 28 enlisted for three years in the 10th. Regiment of Infantry, Mass. Vols.__Comapny F.<br />
Mustered into service on July 21, 1861, at Springfield, Mass.<br />
From Camp Brightwood, he was furloughed 10 days in January, 1862 and visited Chicopee.<br />
He participated in Gen. McClellan&#039;s Peninsula Campaign until after the battle of &quot;Fair Oaks&quot;. He was then sick, and sent to hospital at Harrison&#039;s Landing._Thence to Baltimore, McKinni&#039;s Mansion, where he stayedthree months.__Then was transferred to West Building Hospital, where he remained till January 21, 1864, being on duty as Ward Master the last seven months.__He then proceeded to rejoin the regiment at Brandy Station, Va.<br />
From that time he served with the company in all movements and engagements, including Gen. Grant&#039;s Campaign before Richmond, until the expiration of his term of service.<br />
Returned with the regiment, arriving in Springfield June 25, 1864, and was mustered out of service on the 6th. of July following.]]></dcterms:description>
