The next Park Night and the Labor Day lineup are the big stories on page one in this edition. The Red Tops will play the Waterbury Knights of Columbus, there will be a daylight fireworks display and another band concert at the next Park Night. On Labor Day there will two track meets, more fireworks and more concerts. There is a two column photograph of swimmers in the water at Loon Pond in the center top of the page. Also on page one, Lawrence Eakins wins the trap shooting tournament and the Non-Skids continue their winning streak. On page two the story about the Red Tops losing two games on their road trip into Connecticut and New York is the lead. The day shift in the Mill Room leads the night shift in the safety contest. On page three the team of Brassard and Shea leads the Quoits tournament, more employees notes and a sad story on the death of Aloysia Prairie, who worked at Fisk for 15 years. The Park Night schedule appears at the bottom of the page. The Inspections Department baseball team gets a photograph and a long story on page four. The Red Tops have a double header coming up and the tennis tournament was a hit. There is now a tennis tournament scheduled for the women. Finally, the Bike Tire baseball team has been dissolved and all their games are forfeited for the last two weeks of the season.</text>
