The park is open and the page one headline reads, &quot;Big Crowd in attendance at formal opening of the Park.&quot; The story says about 4500 people attended the opening of the park. Photographs from the opening appear on page 3.  On page two the main headline is &quot;Traffic Wins Opener from Hard Rubber.&quot; Employee notes fill most of the second page and a story about the women&#039;s swimming event also appears. On the top of page three two photographs show Fisker newlyweds. Harold Wilson, of 6A Cutting, and Bertha Pinkos, of Cord Tire, are in the left image and Mr. and Mrs. John Smith appear in the right image. Stories about the Red Tops and Non-Skids baseball team wins bracket the images. In other page three news, Vincent Kane was awarded the &quot;Fisk Fair Sex Gun Instructor&quot; medal.
