Behind him to the left is the head and arm of a smiling woman, who appears to be waving to the camera. To the right of the man is a grinning younger person with a head scarf. The group appears to be sitting in some kind of wagon or cart with wooden posts coming up from the sides; possibly a hay-cart. On the bottom margin of the photo, in pen, is "Going to Town." Written in pencil, in cursive, on the center back of the photo is "Going to town."
