Behind them on the float is a sign, mostly covered, with the words "100th anniversary," most likely referring to the 100th anniversary of Chicopee becoming a town. Part of the float behind them has a banner, a view is mostly obstructed, that says "1848" on it. 050K is printed in black ink on the back of the photograph.
