The image shows two women in what appears to be fancy historical gowns standing atop a parade float. The woman on the right holds a parasol. The sign on the front of the float is partially obscured, with "ERR BROS" legible. The sign towards the front on top of the float is partially obscured but appears to read "CENTER OP," and 1848 is written on the side of the float. The float behind this one has signs that say "knowledge" and "-ence virtue." 050K is printed in black ink on the back of the photograph.
