Description

Black and white photograph of a brick building with several trees around it. Image is taken at an angle to the building, showing the corner and two sides. The building was originally the "Science School," and changed to an elementary school in the 1960s/70s. From the MA Historical Commission: "In 1925 a Science building devoted exclusively to domestic, commercial and physical sciences was erected. It is beaux art in style, rich with cast-stone ornamentation. The frontpiece is pedimented with paladian window and open pedimented entrance with classical ornamentation. Today [1978] 3 grammar grades are taught in the building; the Sisters provide an education for grades 1-8 on the site."
