The text reads, "Chicopee, May 24--Beauty may only be skin deep but to Edward Pietras, above at left, it paid dividends since he was declared the winner of the male beauty contest sponsored by Chicopee Holy Name Society. In addition to receiving the winner's cup, he will receive a free necktie from Balakier's and all the ice cream he can consume at one sitting at the Blue Bell Restaurant. Frank Skibinski, master of ceremonies, is in the center, and on his right is Edward [sic] Ukleja, runner-up.
