The title at the top of the clipping is "Carrier Launched At N.Y. Navy Yard" with the text below it reading, "NEW YORK, April 29 (A. P.).--One of its most famous names was restored to the Navy today when the Bon Homme Richard, a 27,100-ton aircraft carrier slid down the New York Navy Yard ways into the East River under a bright April sun./Admiral Ernest J. King, in a message read by Vice Admiral Herbert F. Leary, commander of the Eastern Sea Frontier, said the $60,000,000 carrier 'will soon be ready to participate in an important phase of our increasing offensive operations.'"
